How ranking works

The system may understand content, but it does not infer what you should want.

  1. Payment never improves organic search ranking.
  2. Search ranking uses query relevance, semantic similarity, quality, originality, freshness, and spam/commercial penalties.
  3. Political ideology is not a ranking factor.
  4. Social distribution is not increased by likes, reactions, comments, shares, views, watch time, or profile visits.
  5. Friends receive the largest explicit relationship boost; followed accounts receive a smaller boost; recency continues to decay both.
  6. Users may explicitly request less of a topic. The system does not create positive interest profiles from passive behavior.
  7. Ranking logic is intended to remain explainable and auditable.
